Trademark Licensing Director
Dale is currently the Trademark Licensing Director at The University of Iowa, a position that he has held since 2002. Previously Dale directed The University of Iowa Athletics Department Merchandising Program from 1986 to 2002. Combined he has a diverse thirty plus years of experience in the collegiate licensed products industry as a buyer, seller, marketer, and licensor of college licensed products. Dale is an active member of the International Collegiate Licensing Association where he is a past-president, two term board member, and 2013 Hall of Fame inductee.

Title/Position
Trademark Licensing Assistant Director
Kirk is the Assistant Trademark Licensing Director for the University of Iowa. Kirk started his career at the University of Iowa in 2002 working within the Iowa Hawk Shop and University Bookstore for 19 years. Kirk served in a number of capacities, including Buying Manager and most recently as Store Director. He has experience buying and selling collegiate licensed products and extensive experience with event operations. Kirk joined the Trademark Licensing office in 2022.

Isabella Broderick |

Isabella is a sophomore at the University of Iowa, pursuing a degree in Sport and Recreation management. She began working for The University of Iowa Trademark and Licensing Program and the University of Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame and Museum in August of 2025. Outside of work, she is a member of the Iowa Women's Club Hockey team and is the director of recruiting. Isabella is from La Grange Park, Illinois, and enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching sports, especially cheering for the Hawkeyes and Chicago sports teams. She anticipates graduating in the spring of 2028.

Keaton is a junior at the University of Iowa, pursuing a degree in Accounting with pursuit of a CPA. Keaton hails from Indianapolis, Indiana and began working for The University of Iowa Trademark Licensing Program and Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame & Museum in the fall of 2023. In his spare time he likes to stay active and spend time with close friends and family. Keaton plans on graduating Spring of 2028.

Malaina Elliott |

Malaina is a second-year student at the University of Iowa. She is majoring English on the Pre-Law track. Malaina began working for The University of Iowa Trademark Licensing Program and The University of Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame & Museum in October of 2024. Outside of work, Malaina enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outside, participating in campus extracurriculars and watching basketball - especially Iowa Women's Basketball and the WNBA. Malaina anticipates graduating in Spring of 2027.

She began working for The University of Iowa Trademark and Licensing Program and The University of Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame and Museum in August of 2024. Sonja is from San Diego, California. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling with friends and family. Sonja anticipates graduating in the Fall of 2025.

Madison is a Grad Student at the University of Iowa. She is pursuing a major in Marketing with a minor in Sport and Recreation Management and a certificate in Sustainability. She began working for The University of Iowa Trademark Licensing Program and The University of Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame & Museum in November of 2022. Outside of work, she is a member of the Hawkeye Sports Business Association and of the University of Iowa Club Softball Team. Madison is originally from West Branch, Iowa, and enjoys traveling, watching sports, and cheering on the Hawks.

Zoey is a Grad Student at the University of Iowa. She is pursuing a degree in Sport and Recreation Management. She began working for The University of Iowa Trademark Licensing Program and the University of Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame & Museum in July of 2025. She is also an intern with the Iowa Women’s Basketball program. Zoey is from Muscatine, Iowa. In her free time, Zoey enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching sports, traveling, and cheering on the Hawkeyes. Zoey anticipates graduating in the Winter of 2026.

In his free time, Marcus enjoys watching and playing sports, hanging out with friends and family, and cheering on the Hawkeyes. Marcus anticipates graduating in the Spring of 2026.
